Adeola, the daughter of popular Nollywood actress Jumoke George, has finally returned home to Nigeria after being trafficked to Mali.
The actress had recently raised alarm over her daughter’s disappearance, revealing she had not heard from Adeola in the last four years.
Her return was made possible through the intervention of the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who facilitated her rescue and repatriation.
Recall Adeola, the 41-year-old daughter of veteran Yoruba actress Jumoke George, was found in Mali after being declared missing for four years.
Jumoke (Mother) had earlier revealed the disappearance during an interview on the Talk to B show hosted by actress Abiola Bayo.
She stated that Adeola had been living with her grandmother in Ibadan and was last seen after informing the family she was travelling to Lagos.
The development has brought relief to the family and sparked fresh conversations around human trafficking and the plight of Nigerians in the diaspora.
