The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday hosted the Muslim Sisters Seminar 2025, a gathering that blended faith, knowledge, and community action.
The event was held at the Banquet Hall of Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja.
Organized by the Office of the First Lady, the seminar, themed “Transforming Society: Islamic Perspectives on the Roles of Faith, Knowledge, and Action,” drew Muslim women from across the state for a spiritually enriching and intellectually engaging experience.
In her keynote address, Dr. Sanwo-Olu emphasized the pivotal role of Muslim women as pillars of strength and agents of societal change.
She encouraged participants to embrace their faith boldly, pursue knowledge with purpose, and engage in compassionate, impactful action within their communities.
“Muslim women are not just nurturers of families; they are vital contributors to the moral and intellectual foundation of society,” she stated.
The First Lady was joined by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, and extended heartfelt gratitude to all facilitators who shared valuable insights during the seminar.
She concluded with a prayer: “May Allah (SWT) continue to guide, protect, and uplift us all.”
