The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially welcomed the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Umo Eno, into its fold, describing his defection as a significant boost to the party’s vision and strength.
In a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), led by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, expressed delight over the governor’s decision, calling it a “thoughtful” move that would contribute to the progress and development of Akwa Ibom State and its people.
“The National Working Committee of our great party is delighted at the news of Governor Umo Eno’s decision to join the APC. We are confident that this step will advance the growth and prosperity of Akwa Ibom and its citizens,” the statement read.
The party further assured Governor Eno of full cooperation and integration into the APC family, noting that his entry aligns with the broader goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Morka confirmed the APC’s commitment to working collectively with the governor to deliver on developmental goals and ensure the well-being of all Nigerians.
