An 18-seater commercial bus en route to Malete from Ilorin was completely engulfed in flames along Sobi Barracks Road early on Wednesday. Fortunately, all passengers onboard managed to escape without injury.

The bus, which departed from Gambari Park in Ilorin at approximately 7:30 a.m., reportedly caught fire while in transit.

While emergency responders were not immediately on the scene, eyewitnesses confirmed that quick-thinking passengers evacuated the vehicle before the fire consumed it.

The cause of the blaze is currently unknown, and investigations are expected to commence to determine what led to the incident.
