Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor announced his move on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Fubara’s defection comes just hours after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.

With this switch, Fubara joins a growing list of governors who have crossed over to the APC this year.
