Police Transfer Mirabel to Women Affairs Ministry Amid Probe|LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Ogun State Police Command has issued an update regarding Abigeal Nsikak, popularly known as Mirabel, following rape allegations she made on social media.

In a statement released on February 25, the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed that Mirabel was received by officers upon her visit to the police station and subsequently taken to a medical facility for examination as part of efforts to verify her claims.

According to the police, she has continued to cooperate with investigators as due process unfolds.

The spokesperson further explained that, considering her welfare and support needs, Mirabel has been handed over to the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, which has assumed responsibility for her care.

The Ministry assured authorities that she will be made available whenever required as investigations continue.

The Command emphasized that the matter is being handled with professionalism, sensitivity, and diligence. It also urged members of the public to refrain from speculation and allow the investigation to proceed without interference.

Police authorities assured that further updates will be communicated as developments arise.
