The Baba Oosa of Osogboland, Baba Osunyemi Ifarinu Ifabode, has dismissed reports suggesting that residents would be restricted from moving around Osogbo and its indigenous communities tonight due to traditional or spiritual activities.
In a statement made available to the public, the traditional leader clarified that no traditional or spiritual rites are scheduled to take place that would necessitate any form of movement restriction within Osogboland.
He assured residents and visitors that the city remains peaceful and safe, urging members of the public to continue their normal activities without fear or concern.
According to him, information circulating about an alleged restriction of movement is false and misleading.
Baba Osunyemi attributed the rumour to misinformation reportedly shared by a Facebook content creator and advised the public to disregard such claims.
He reiterated that there is no cause for alarm and encouraged residents to rely on verified sources for information concerning community affairs.
“Please disregard any contrary claims, as they are false and appear to have originated from misleading information shared by a Facebook content creator,” the statement read.
