Super Eagles and Nantes winger Moses Simon has been nominated for the Ligue 1 Best African Player of the Year award in France.
The prestigious award is named after former Cameroon international, Marc-Vivien Foé.
Simon has been in fantastic form for Nantes this season.
The Nigeria international has netted seven goals and provided eight assists for Antoine Kombouaré’s team.
At 29 years old, he will aim to follow in the footsteps of fellow Nigerians Vincent Enyeama and Victor Osimhen, both of whom have previously won the award.
Enyeama became the first Nigerian to claim the honor during the 2013/14 season.
Osimhen secured the award during his stint at Lille in the 2019/20 season.
