Mr Segun Ajayi-Kadir, Director General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), recently completed a comprehensive tour of the Khanz Group and its diverse subsidiaries, praising the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainable manufacturing.
Khanz Group, operating under the name Fas Agro, has evolved significantly since its inception in 1989 as a producer of woven polypropylene packaging, including cement, shopping, and agricultural bags.
The group has since expanded into a multifaceted industrial conglomerate with facilities in Agbara, Ogun State, and Satellite Town, Lagos.
The Director General’s visit encompassed several key subsidiaries, including:
Green Recycling, Alef Recycling, Apex African Gas Nigeria Limited, and Societe De Compoundage Nigeria (SCN).
During the tour, Ajayi-Kadir was given an in-depth overview of the group’s operations, witnessing firsthand the innovative processes that transform waste into valuable products. He expressed particular admiration for the group’s dedication to sustainability.
“The work being done here at Khanz Group, especially in the recycling sector, is commendable,” stated Ajayi-Kadir. “Adopting a strategic and comprehensive approach to waste management is crucial for the future of manufacturing in Nigeria. We need to strengthen processes from collection to disposal, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and policies.”
The Director General also acknowledged the challenges raised by the Chairman of Khanz Group, reiterating MAN’s unwavering commitment to advocating for the best interests of Nigerian manufacturers.
He assured the group that MAN would continue to work diligently to address the concerns and create a more conducive operating environment for businesses within the sector.
