Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, swore in Hon. Ladi Oluwaloni as the new Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Oluwaloni, who previously served as the Vice-Chairman of the LCDA, was appointed following the passing of the immediate-past Chairperson, Mrs. Bolatito Shobowale.
During the swearing-in ceremony, Oluwaloni expressed his gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for entrusting him with the leadership of the LCDA. He also extended appreciation to Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, former Deputy Governor Dr. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos and Alimosho Local Government.
“I am profoundly grateful for this opportunity to serve and lead Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. Your Excellency, I assure you that I will uphold the tenets of good governance as outlined in your administration’s THEMES+ agenda,” Oluwaloni stated.
He acknowledged the legacies of his predecessor and pledged to consolidate past achievements while ensuring the delivery of democratic dividends to the grassroots.
“Part of this commitment includes the recent handing over of an ambulance to our LCDA’s primary health centre, which had been without one since its establishment, and the inauguration of connecting roads in the coming weeks,” he added.
Oluwaloni emphasized his commitment to improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment within the LCDA.
He assured residents that with the support of the governor and the APC, development would be brought closer to the communities.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, while addressing the gathering, urged the new chairman to prioritize community development and align his administration’s efforts with the state government’s vision. He expressed confidence that the LCDA would witness significant progress under Oluwaloni’s leadership.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by top government officials, party leaders, and community stakeholders, all of whom pledged their support for the new administration.
