U.S. President Donald Trump took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday to deliver a combative message touting recent economic developments and lambasting both foreign trade partners and past U.S. leadership.
In the post, Trump claimed the United States is at a historic turning point, urging Americans to be “strong, courageous, and patient,” while cautioning against weakness and poor decision-making.
He coined a new term—“PANICAN”—which he described as a political group made up of “weak and stupid people.”
“The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO,” Trump stated. “Don’t be Weak! Don’t be Stupid! Don’t be a PANICAN… and GREATNESS will be the result!”
The former president also cited falling oil prices, interest rates, and food prices as indicators of a positive economic trend, while criticizing the Federal Reserve for being slow to cut rates.
He asserted there is currently “NO INFLATION” and praised existing tariffs for generating “billions of dollars a week” from what he described as “abusing countries.”
Trump singled out China as the “biggest abuser,” criticizing Beijing for recently increasing tariffs by 34 percent despite his earlier warnings.
He accused the Chinese government of taking advantage of the United States for decades and blamed previous American leaders for allowing such practices to continue.
Concluding his message, Trump repeated his signature slogan, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” calling for a renewed era of strength and economic sovereignty.
