The Ogun State Government has appointed Prince Adebayo Apelogun as the Amirul Hajj for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
This is contained in a statement through Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the Ogun State Government, Hon. Kayode Akinmade.
According to the statement, His appointment was confirmed by the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board as part of efforts to ensure a smooth and successful exercise for intending pilgrims from the state.
Prince Apelogun, who is the National President of the Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners, Repairs and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), also holds the titles of Asiwaju Adinni of Ogun State and Baba Adinni of Remo. He will lead a 14-member ad-hoc welfare committee saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the welfare and logistics arrangements for the state’s pilgrims.
Shaekh Ishaq Olorungbebe has been named as the chairman of the committee, which also comprises notable Islamic clerics and community leaders.

- Alhaji (Imam) Uthman Akewukanwo
- Alhaja Alarise Korede Fausat
- Alhaja Egunjobi Kafilat Aderonke
- Alhaja Jinadu Zainab Iyabode
The Pilgrims Welfare Board urged all committee members to discharge their duties with a high level of commitment and integrity, emphasizing the need to prioritize the comfort, welfare, and safety of pilgrims throughout the Hajj exercise.
