The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), in collaboration with Two-4 Seven Modernize Limited, has concluded business skills training for selected youths in Ilorin West and Asa Local Government Areas of Kwara State.
The entrepreneurship development training programme was facilitated by the lawmaker representing Ilorin West and Asa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Shagaya said the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the grassroots economic empowerment drive of Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
According to the lawmaker, the programme is part of a broader vision to stimulate innovation, create job opportunities, and support the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the constituency.
Participants were trained in areas such as business idea generation, financial management, customer relations, and brand reputation building.
Shagaya added that beyond the training, beneficiaries also received financial support to scale up their business ventures.
He assured that more interventions would be rolled out to boost self-reliance and economic productivity at the grassroots.
