The management of Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services has raised an alarm over the activities of fraudsters impersonating the company through a fake website tagged “OyoPTS.”
According to the company, the impersonators have been defrauding unsuspecting commuters by sending unofficial account details via a phone number listed on the fraudulent platform.
In an official statement made available to LAGOS EYE NEWS on Thursday, the company clarified that it currently does not operate any website for bookings or direct contact. All official communications and updates, the management emphasized, are shared solely through its verified social media pages.
“Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services is committed to delivering seamless, comfortable, and cost-effective transportation services across the state. As part of this commitment, efforts are underway to establish a secure and user-friendly website for official bookings,” the statement read.
The company advised the public that, pending the launch of its official booking platform, all reservations should only be made at designated loading points or through the contact information available on its official social media handles.
Commuters are urged to disregard any contact details not verified through the company’s official platforms and to remain vigilant to avoid falling victim to fraud.
The management thanked the public for their understanding and continued support.
