The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced the outcome of its local government chairmanship primaries ahead of the July 12, 2025 elections, with Alhaji Tunde Azeez, popularly known as Tunde Disco, emerging as the party’s candidate for Agege Local Government Area.
Similarly, Lateef Hasimi clinched the APC ticket to contest for the chairmanship seat in Shomolu, signaling a strong endorsement from party delegates and stakeholders in the area.
In Odi-Olowo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Seyi Jakande—son of the late Lagos State Governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande—was declared winner of the APC primaries. His emergence is widely seen as a continuation of his family’s storied political legacy in Lagos.
Other confirmed chairmanship candidates include Jimoh Olawale for Apapa-Iganmu LCDA, Ladega Adedayo for Ikorodu, and Akinsanya Lasisi for Igando-Ikotun. Akeem Dauda was selected to represent the party in Ikeja.
The list also features Adebanjo Moyo for Onigbongbo, Bola Oladunjoye for Ikoyi-Obalende, and Omo’Oba Adeola Adetoro for Eti-Osa. Alabi Amina will contest in Iru-Victoria Island, while Odunayo Daniel Olufemi is set to represent Itire-Ikate.
