Harry Kane finally lifted his first major trophy at age 31 as Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-0 in their final home game of the season — a match that also served as a farewell to club legend Thomas Müller at the Allianz Arena.
Kane opened the scoring in the 31st minute, expertly heading in Michael Olise’s shot to register his 25th Bundesliga goal of the season. Olise went on to seal the win in the 90th minute, rounding off an impressive display with both a goal and an assist.
The evening held emotional significance as Bayern paid tribute to Müller, who was honored pre-match for his remarkable 25-year career at the club. The 35-year-old, a cornerstone of Bayern’s success with 13 Bundesliga titles and two Champions League trophies, received a standing ovation as he was substituted in the 83rd minute.
The victory capped off a celebratory week for Bayern Munich, who had already secured their record-extending 34th Bundesliga title. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer also made a notable return, producing key saves to help preserve the clean sheet.
For Kane, the win ends a long wait for silverware and marks a milestone moment in his illustrious career.
