The remains of late Hafsoh Lawal, the 24-year-old graduate of Kwara State College of Education who was allegedly murdered by one Abdulrahman Bello, has finaly been laid to rest according to Islamic rites at a cemetery in the Sango area of Ilorin.
The burial according to information took place yesterday, following the release of her remains to the family.
The development followed an appeal by the Attorney-General of Kwara State, Barrister Senior Sulyman, who led the prosecuting counsel in the ongoing murder case against the suspected.
Barrister Sulyman pleaded with the court to allow the dismembered body of the deceased to be handed over to her family for burial, in line with religious and cultural customs.
The court granted the plea, enabling the family to proceed with the funeral arrangements while the trial continues.
