LASEPA Shuts Down CCC Church, Success Bakery, Others Over Noise Pollution, Environmental Violations |LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) on Wednesday, intensified its enforcement operations against environmental infractions, sealing off several facilities across Lagos for noise pollution and other related breaches.

The agency’s enforcement team carried out the operation across multiple locations within the Mainland axis, including Onike, Yaba, China Town, Ojota, Pedro, Bariga, Magodo, Shomolu, and Ebute Metta.

Targeting a range of establishments — from religious centers and hotels to residential buildings, warehouses, and bakeries — the agency took decisive action against those found in violation of environmental regulations.

Among the facilities shut down were Suit Las Caracas, Forest Guzu Xinlong Zhongnia Horn Co. Ltd, Success Bakery, JP Ventures Bakery, Aliya Bakery, several residential apartments, as well as the CCC Church and CCC Training Seminary.

Speaking on the exercise, LASEPA General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, reiterated the agency’s unwavering commitment to enforcing environmental laws and protecting public health.

“Noise pollution poses serious risks to public health and the well-being of our communities. Our enforcement today sends a clear message that we are dedicated to safeguarding the environment and ensuring a healthier Lagos,” Dr. Ajayi stated.

He further urged organizations and residents to comply strictly with environmental regulations, reaffirming LASEPA’s mission to foster a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable city for all.
