German Football Federation (DFB) president Bernd Neuendorf and DFB vice president Hans-Joachim Watzke are to take additional tasks at the European football ruling body UEFA.
At the federation’s executive committee meeting on Wednesday, Neuendorf was appointed as a member of the four-person UEFA finance committee, the DFB said in a statement.
Watzke, meanwhile, will become deputy head of the committee for club competitions.
The finance committee reports to the executive committee and the UEFA congress. The club competitions committee deals, among other things, with competition formats and strategies for marketing UEFA competitions.
The two officials were confirmed in their positions for four years at the UEFA congress in Belgrade at the beginning of April.
Neuendorf represents UEFA on the council of football governing body FIFA. Watzke remains a member of the UEFA executive committee
