A Former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, has described the proposed 2027 coalition against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling party as a selfish agenda driven by the personal ambitions of failed politicians.

Speaking at a political gathering in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, Bolarinwa argued that the coalition was not inspired by a genuine desire to improve Nigeria, but by the desperation of individuals who lost out in the 2023 general elections.

Bolarinwa commended the APC National Leadership, the National Assembly Caucus, and the Progressive Governors’ Forum for endorsing President Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate of the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

He said the decision was a welcome development that would strengthen party unity and guarantee victory at the polls.

The APC chieftain also urged appointees of the President across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to intensify their efforts and improve service delivery, noting that some of the administration’s policies were already yielding results.

He called on party members across the country to remain committed and fully mobilized ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying it was the only way to consolidate the gains of the Tinubu-led government and keep the opposition at bay.
