Former Nigeria international, Sunday Oliseh, has been appointed to the International Football Association Board (IFAB), the global body responsible for setting and overseeing the laws of the game of football.
Oliseh made the announcement via his official X handle, expressing excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to serve on the prestigious board.
“Thrilled to announce my appointment to the International Football Association Board (IFAB),” he wrote. “IFAB is the global guardian of football’s laws, responsible for determining the laws of football and shaping the beautiful game for players and fans worldwide. Honored to contribute to its mission.”
Oliseh, a former standout defensive midfielder, represented Nigeria in two FIFA World Cup tournaments and played for top European clubs including Juventus, Ajax Amsterdam, and Borussia Dortmund.
