Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a 27-year-old man, Asiru Tukor, for vandalising electric cables on Ojota Bridge.

The arrest was made around 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, during a routine patrol by RRS officers monitoring the area.

According to the RRS, the suspect was caught in the act of removing cables from an electric pole. Upon interrogation, Tukor reportedly made significant confessions regarding his involvement in the crime.

Efforts are currently underway to apprehend his accomplices and the buyer of the stolen cables.

The suspect has since been charged to court for prosecution.
