President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Bashir Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, on his 60th birthday, marked on June 3, 2025.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday, President Tinubu hailed Ojulari as a visionary leader in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, commending his decades of transformative service.

Prior to his appointment as GCEO of NNPC Limited in April 2025, Ojulari held senior leadership roles, including Executive Vice President at Renaissance Africa Energy and Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) from 2015 to 2021.

The President praised recent gains in oil production under Ojulari’s leadership, noting the increase from 1.5 million to 1.7 million barrels per day in just two months, with optimism toward hitting the 1.9 million barrels target by year-end.

“You have your work clearly defined before you. Your mission is to win investor confidence and ensure NNPC becomes a key driver of Nigeria’s economic growth,” President Tinubu said in his birthday message.

He also prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and success for Ojulari as he steers NNPC Limited towards global excellence and national energy security.
