Global streaming giant Netflix has announced an increase in its monthly subscription fee for Nigerian users, with the new rate set at ₦8,500. The price adjustment will take effect from July 4, 2025.
The latest hike represents Netflix’s third price review in two years, a move likely to prompt Nigerian subscribers to reassess their entertainment budgets.
In 2024, the platform raised its Premium Plan from ₦5,000 to ₦7,000. The upcoming adjustment further cements Netflix’s trend of periodic pricing reviews within the Nigerian market.

While the company has yet to provide detailed reasons for the latest increase, industry analysts suggest rising operational costs and currency fluctuations may be contributing factors.
Details of the plans:
• Premium plan: ₦7,000 → ₦8,500
• Standard plan: ₦5,500 → ₦6,500
• Basic plan: ₦3,500 → ₦4,500
• Mobile plan: ₦2,200 → ₦4,500
Subscribers are advised to review their billing details ahead of the implementation date.
