Osun Govt Approves Water Users Association Bill, Transmits to House for Consideration |LAGOS EYE NEWS

At its fourth Executive Council meeting of 2025, the Osun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, approved the Osun State Water Users Association (Irrigation) Bill 2025. The Council resolved to forward the executive bill to the State House of Assembly for legislative consideration.

A press statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi at the end of the meeting, says Governor Adeleke in his opening remarks commended all the Exco members for their effort and support in ensuring delivery of good governance to the people of Osun State through their various initiatives across ministries and agencies of the state government.

Meanwhile, Governor Adeleke, also during the Exco meeting, expressed happiness over the recent survey conducted by an independent group, named Geopolitics Survey International which rated him and his party, Osun PDP, higher than its challengers.

“This is the first time any such survey was conducted since we took over in 2022. I congratulate all of us for these positive outcomes.

“We were rated 65% for our party, the PDP and 66% for me as a candidate in next year’s 8th of August, 2026 Governorship election in Osun State.

“This is up from our 52% win during the 2022 polls. Our target should be 75% so that other political groups can share 25 %.

“We must energise our base and build on our enormous goodwill to deliver a landslide victory in August, 2026 Governorship election” He concluded.
