Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is set to host a crucial stakeholders’ meeting with leaders, elected and appointed officials, as well as all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) participating in the upcoming Lagos State Local Government elections scheduled for July 12.
The parley is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, June 24, at the State House in Marina by 12 noon.
According to the spokesperson of the Lagos APC, Mr. Mogaji Seye Oladejo, the meeting is expected to serve as a strategic mobilization platform for the party’s candidates and officials in preparation for the polls.
“This parley will serve as the rallying point for the mobilization of our troops towards the local government elections,” Oladejo stated.
It will be recalled that the APC recently flagged off its campaign with the formal presentation of party flags to the 57 chairmanship candidates. The event, held at the party secretariat in Ogba, was a colourful affair attended by key figures in the state’s political and party leadership, and served as a significant morale booster for party loyalists.
The Lagos APC expressed gratitude to residents for their continued support, noting that the party’s progressive ideology has driven consistent and unprecedented development across all sectors in the state.
“We are confident that the landmark achievements of our local government councils — particularly in education, primary health care, housing, and social interventions — will be rewarded with overwhelming support at the polls,” Oladejo added.
