His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a phone call from His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco on Monday.
During the conversation, King Mohammed VI expressed Morocco’s firm solidarity with Qatar following the recent Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base.
The Moroccan monarch strongly condemned the strike, describing it as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, as well as a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
King Mohammed VI reiterated his categorical rejection of any form of aggression that threatens the security and stability of Qatar and the wider region.
He urged His Highness the Amir to exercise restraint and prioritize diplomatic channels to address the crisis.
In response, His Highness Sheikh Tamim expressed deep gratitude to the Moroccan King for his fraternal sentiments and reaffirmed Qatar’s appreciation for Morocco’s steadfast support and solidarity with the Qatari people.
