The Nigeria Police Force has expressed strong disapproval over the conduct of armed officers captured in a viral video trailing Nollywood actress Angela Okorie while she jogged.
The incident, widely circulated on social media, has drawn significant public outrage and is described by the Force as a clear deviation from the professional standards expected of its personnel.
In a statement issued by Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the police noted that although the scene appears to have taken place around a movie set, the behaviour of the officers involved remains unacceptable and inconsistent with the decorum expected of members of the Force.
“The conduct of the officers, regardless of whether it was part of a scripted production, falls short of the standards expected from personnel of the Nigeria Police Force,” the statement read.

The Force confirmed that administrative procedures have been activated to identify the officers featured in the video and to ascertain the circumstances under which the footage was recorded.
Appropriate disciplinary measures, it said, will be taken upon conclusion of the internal review.
Reaffirming its commitment to professionalism, discipline, and public trust, the Police Force assured Nigerians that such actions will not be condoned.
