Hon. Prince Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya, who represents Mushin Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has congratulated Hon. Seyi Jakande on his emergence as the Chairman-elect of Odi Olowo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the just-concluded 2025 Lagos State local government elections.
In a statement released on Sunday following the official announcement of results, Hon. Akinsanya described Jakande’s victory as “a collective win for the people of Odi Olowo,” applauding residents for placing their trust in a candidate he said embodies vision, integrity, and a strong commitment to grassroots development.
“This election is not just a personal triumph for Hon. Jakande,” Akinsanya noted. “It is a clear endorsement by the people of Odi Olowo LCDA, who have embraced hope, experience, and a forward-looking development agenda.”
He praised the campaign run by the chairman-elect, calling it “a beacon of sincerity, humility, and direction” that effectively connected with voters at the grassroots level.
Akinsanya expressed confidence that Jakande’s leadership would usher in a new era of local governance rooted in accessibility, accountability, and inclusiveness.
He urged the incoming chairman to view his electoral success not only as a reward for his dedication but also as a renewed call to service.

“The journey ahead comes with great expectations, but your track record assures us of your capacity to deliver. This mandate presents an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the government and the governed,” he said.
Akinsanya concluded with a message of support and goodwill: “We celebrate this well-deserved victory with you. May your tenure bring lasting peace, progress, and prosperity to every part of Odi Olowo LCDA.”
The 2025 Lagos State local government elections have been widely regarded as a barometer of public trust in grassroots leadership, with significant voter turnout underscoring renewed civic engagement across several councils.
