AS Roma has confirmed the signing of Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide on a two-year contract, marking a significant addition to their squad ahead of the new season.
Babajide joins the Italian side as a free agent after opting not to renew her contract with Spanish club UDG Tenerife, where she enjoyed a successful campaign. Seeking a fresh challenge, the 26-year-old winger brings with her a wealth of experience from across top clubs in England and Spain.
Her career has spanned several notable teams, including Crystal Palace, Millwall Lionesses, Watford, Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Real Betis, before moving to Tenerife. In her final season with the Spanish outfit, Babajide made 26 appearances, netting 10 goals and delivering five assists.
Currently representing Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON), Babajide has already made a notable impact on the continental stage. She scored a goal and provided an assist in the group stage against Tunisia, helping Nigeria top Group B and secure a place in the quarter-finals.
Born in England, Babajide previously represented England at youth level up to the U21s before switching allegiance to Nigeria in 2023.
