BREAKING: U.S. President, Trump Diagnosed with chronic venous, White House Confirms |LAGOS EYE NEWS

President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with a benign and common vein condition known as chronic venous insufficiency, following reports of swelling in his legs, the White House announced Thursday.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered the update during a press briefing, reading from a letter issued by the president’s physician.

The condition, described as typical in individuals over the age of 70, was discovered after President Trump, 79, noticed mild swelling in his lower limbs in recent weeks.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the president was thoroughly evaluated by the White House medical unit,” Leavitt said. “He underwent a comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies and bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds, which confirmed chronic venous insufficiency a benign and common condition.”

According to medical sources such as Johns Hopkins Medicine and the Cleveland Clinic, chronic venous insufficiency occurs when leg veins struggle to return blood efficiently to the heart, often resulting in swelling or discomfort.

Leavitt assured reporters that there is no evidence of more serious conditions such as deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease. “All test results were within normal limits,” she said, citing a full battery of diagnostic procedures including a complete blood count, metabolic panel, coagulation profile, and an echocardiogram.

“The echocardiogram confirmed normal cardiac structure and function. No signs of heart dysfunction, kidney impairment, or systemic illness were identified,” she added.

The press secretary also addressed recent public speculation about visible bruising on the president’s hand, which has been noted in photographs.

“This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which he takes as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen,” she explained.

The White House has committed to releasing the full letter from the president’s physician for public transparency.
