All 25 Honourable Members of the Osun State House of Assembly elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have publicly reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and the ruling party.
Addressing the press on Tuesday, the lawmakers debunked rumours of internal crisis, defection, or disunity within the House. They described such reports as baseless and misleading.
“There is no division in this House. There is no defection. There is no crisis. The rumours flying around are simply rumours. And we are not in the business of chasing shadows,” the statement declared.
Speaking on behalf of the caucus, the leader of the PDP lawmakers emphasized their collective resolve to remain steadfast, accountable, and loyal to the mandate of their constituents.
“We, the Honourable Members, are men of honour. We are not for sale. We are not moved by noise or pressure. We hold the mandate of our people and we intend to keep that trust with dignity, loyalty, and a clear conscience,” he stated.
The lawmakers expressed strong confidence in Governor Adeleke’s leadership, describing his governance style as people-focused and impactful.
“We come from the grassroots. We see and feel the pulse of the people every day. Let me say it without hesitation, the people of Osun are with this Governor. They have seen what he is doing. They have felt the impact of his leadership. They know he is working, and so do we.”
Reaffirming their support for the PDP’s leadership in the state, the lawmakers also lauded the leadership of the Osun PDP Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, for maintaining unity and direction within the party.
The legislators went a step further by endorsing Governor Adeleke for a second term in office, pledging to work assiduously to ensure his re-election in 2026.
“To be clear, we are not just here to defend what we believe. We are here to declare our full support for the Governor’s second term. In 2026, by the grace of God and the will of the people, we will return him to office to continue the good work he has started.”
The caucus leader concluded by commending his fellow PDP lawmakers for their resilience and dedication to the people of Osun State.
“I must thank my colleagues, the 25 PDP lawmakers who continue to show character, courage, and clarity. You have not wavered. You have not been distracted. You remain true to the people who sent you here.”All 25 Honourable Members of the Osun State House of Assembly elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have publicly reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and the ruling party.
