In a renewed effort to strengthen operational efficiency and security vigilance across Osun State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has called on its personnel to maintain high levels of discipline and professionalism in their duties.

This charge was delivered by the Osun State Commandant of the NSCDC, Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo, during a comprehensive Quarter Guard Inspection held at the Command Headquarters.

The inspection, a routine yet essential component of the Corps’ operational procedures, was aimed at assessing the discipline, appearance, gallantry, and combat readiness of officers responsible for the protection of lives, property, and critical infrastructure in the state.

Addressing officers during the exercise, Commandant Sotiyo emphasized that professionalism, integrity, and alertness remain the bedrock of the Corps’ mission.

“Our security environment is evolving, and we must remain physically, mentally, and morally prepared to respond to threats and protect our communities,” he stated.

Describing the Quarter Guard Inspection as more than a ceremonial tradition, he said it serves as a strategic assessment of the Corps’ preparedness to serve the public with honor and commitment.

“The people of Osun State depend on us, and we must not fail them,” he added.

Commandant Sotiyo also reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment to collaboration with other security agencies, highlighting the importance of inter-agency synergy in combating crime, insurgency, and the vandalism of national assets.

He commended the officers for their dedication and urged them to remain disciplined and professional in the discharge of their duties.

The Command assured the public of the Corps’ continued commitment to peace, security, and the protection of critical infrastructure across Osun State.
