Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing in court on charges of rape and sexual assault.
The 32-year-old footballer was arraigned at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, facing five counts of rape involving two women and one count of sexual assault against a third woman.
The alleged offences reportedly occurred between 2021 and 2022, during his time at Arsenal.
As part of his bail conditions, Partey has been prohibited from contacting any of the three women involved and must inform the police of any permanent change of address or plans to travel abroad.
Partey has denied all allegations. His lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, said the midfielder “denies all the charges against him” and welcomed “the opportunity to finally clear his name.”
The case is expected to proceed to trial, with further hearings anticipated in the coming months.
