The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has congratulated Oba Rashidi Ladoja on his emergence as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The Emir, in a statement issued on Thursday by his Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, described Ladoja’s ascension to the revered throne as a divine appointment.
“Kings are made by God with His divine authorities and grace, just like the case of the new Olubadan,” the statement quoted the Emir as saying.
He recalled that Oba Ladoja had previously held various positions of authority at different levels of governance, adding that his elevation as Olubadan was a testament to his enduring service and leadership.
The Emir of Ilorin also extended the felicitations of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council to the Olubadan, wishing him a peaceful and impactful reign.
He further appealed to the Olubadan-in-Council, the people of Ibadan, the Oyo State Traditional Rulers Council, and governments of both Oyo and Kwara states to support Oba Ladoja in order to make his reign historic and beneficial to all.
