The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has raised concern over the activities of a former staff member, Olakunle Alex Folarin, who was recently dismissed from the Commission for certificate forgery.
Folarin, who worked as a driver at the Commission’s Ibadan Zonal Directorate, was sacked after it was discovered that he gained employment with forged documents.
In a statement issued on Monday, the EFCC disclosed that despite his dismissal, Folarin continued to parade himself with some of the Commission’s properties, including an official Identity Card, which he failed to return.
The EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has ordered his arrest, describing his post-dismissal conduct particularly his appearance on a matchmaking programme hosted on Lege Miami’s social media platforms as a gross misrepresentation of the Commission.
Olukoyede strongly condemned Folarin’s actions and cautioned the public against associating his activities with the anti-graft agency.
