The political leadership of Agege Local Government has taken a new turn as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Tunde Azeez, popularly known as Tunde Disco, has proceeded on medical leave.
In line with statutory provisions, Hon. Azeez officially transferred the responsibilities of the council to his Vice Chairman, Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa.
LAGOS EYE NEWS reports that Vinod Obasa is the son of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
With this development, Hon. Vinod Obasa assumes the role of Acting Chairman of Agege Local Government, a move that not only ensures continuity of governance at the grassroots level but also places the Obasa political dynasty in a more prominent position within Agege’s local administration.
Political observers suggest that this transition may further strengthen the Speaker’s influence in Lagos politics, while residents await the return of Hon. Azeez.
