Besiktas have parted ways with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following the club’s elimination from the Europa Conference League at the hands of Swiss outfit Lausanne on Thursday night.
The defeat proved decisive, with the Besiktas board convening immediately after the match to assess the situation.
Their decision was swift as Solskjaer has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
The former Manchester United boss had been under increasing pressure in recent weeks, and the European setback ultimately sealed his fate in Istanbul.
