Hon. Abraham Alberah Catoh, former State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State (2016–2024), has formally announced his resignation from the party.
In a letter addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Idon Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area, Catoh cited the “unending crisis within the party and the uncertainties therein” as his reason for leaving.
“I wish to tender my resignation as a member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), forthwith, I am doing this with a heavy heart,” he wrote.
The former House of Representatives aspirant for the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency further disclosed that he would be embarking on a political sabbatical to focus on his private business until further notice.
Despite his decision to quit, Catoh expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership and members across all levels of the party for the opportunity to serve in various capacities.
“I wholeheartedly wish to thank the party leadership and members, both at the ward, Local Government, State and National levels for giving me the opportunity to serve… I do not take it for granted,” he stated.
