The Association of Resident Doctors in the Federal Capital Territory has declared a seven-day warning strike.
The decision was made public on Monday through a communiqué signed by the association’s President, Dr. George Ebong, and other members of the executive.
The doctors described the FCT healthcare system as one crippled by long-standing systemic deficiencies, stressing the need for urgent and far-reaching reforms.
Dr. Ebong explained that resident doctors in the territory are working under overwhelming pressure, often forced to handle multiple departments at the same time due to manpower shortages.Details later…
