Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has expressed gratitude to God, his family, fans, and industry stakeholders as he celebrates a double milestone his 50th birthday and 25 years in the music industry.

In an official statement on Wednesday, the legendary artiste described his journey as “nothing short of amazing,” acknowledging the grace of God and the support he has received throughout his career.

“Today, I give thanks to Almighty God for the gift of life and the grace to celebrate my golden jubilee and 25 years in the music industry. This journey has been nothing short of amazing, and I do not take it for granted,” 2Baba said.

The singer, who rose to prominence as a member of the Plantashun Boiz before establishing a successful solo career, reflected on colleagues who began the journey with him but are no longer alive, saying he honors their memories at this moment of celebration.

2Baba extended heartfelt appreciation to his family his mother, wife, children, siblings, and mothers of his children as well as his management teams, colleagues, promoters, DJs, the media, corporate organizations, government institutions, NGOs, and loyal fans who have stood by him through the years.

“Without you, this story would not be complete. This milestone is not mine alone; it belongs to all of us who have walked this journey together,” he noted.

The music legend further revealed that plans for a major celebration have been postponed, not canceled.

According to him, the event will merge his 50th birthday and 25 years in music into one grand experience, promising it will be an unforgettable occasion.

“It will be a time to share stories, give thanks, and celebrate the power of music, life, and love. Until then, keep the fire burning. The best is yet to come,” he concluded.
