Abiodun Flags Off Comprehensive Road Repairs Across Ogun |LAGOS EYE NEWS

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has unveiled plans to commence comprehensive road maintenance works across the state, with assurances that every local government area will benefit from the initiative.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Works, Engr. Babatunde Adesina, disclosed this on Tuesday during an inspection tour of the Leme–Abiola Way–Madojutimi roads in Abeokuta.

According to Adesina, the exercise underscores the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing mobility, and addressing the deplorable state of some major roads in order to ease the burden on commuters.

He noted that the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government is giving priority to both urban and rural road projects as part of efforts to support local businesses, strengthen community connectivity, and stimulate economic growth across the state.

“We will ensure that all parts of the state are touched by the road maintenance gang, as the present administration is determined to make Ogun roads accessible and durable.

The exercise is not just about patching roads; it is about making life easier for our people and supporting commerce. Better roads will translate into reduced travel time, safer journeys, and stronger economic activities for our communities,” Adesina said.

Some residents who spoke on the development expressed delight at the move, saying the project would ease transportation challenges, improve accessibility, and boost local economic activities once completed.
