Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Deputy Governor Hamzat at 61 |LAGOS EYE NEWS

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, on the occasion of his 61st birthday, described him as a trusted and committed public servant whose contributions have been pivotal to the development of Lagos State.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Dr. Hamzat for his decades of dedicated service to Lagos and Nigeria.

He lauded the deputy governor as a team player, seasoned technocrat, and brilliant administrator who has positively impacted the success of the present administration.

The governor highlighted the cordial relationship between him and his deputy, noting that their partnership rooted in friendship and mutual trust—has advanced good governance and facilitated the delivery of dividends of democracy to millions of Lagosians.

“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Lagos State, as well as the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), I celebrate my dear brother, friend, and reliable partner on his 61st birthday,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The governor further described Dr. Hamzat as “an administrator par excellence” whose hard work, dedication, and support have been crucial in the drive to build a Greater Lagos.

“As Dr. Obafemi Hamzat celebrates his 61st birthday, I wish him many more years of service, wisdom, and success. May he continue to flourish in all his endeavours, and may God grant him good health to enable him to render more service to humanity, Lagos State, and Nigeria,” Sanwo-Olu added.
