As part of its Back-to-School Programme, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), His Majestic Chapel, LP 122, Ahmadiyya, Ojokoro, Lagos, has distributed exercise books and writing materials to nursery, primary and secondary school students resuming for the 2025/26 academic session.
Speaking at the event, Pastor Tope Farotika, Pastor-in-Charge of the parish, described the initiative as an integral part of the church’s Christian Social Responsibility (CSR), in line with the directive of the General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye.
“Our parish wholeheartedly supports this project, which is championed by our Welfare Department. It demonstrates our commitment to the academic success and spiritual growth of children, reflecting the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on love and kindness. We pray that next year’s outreach will be even more impactful,” he said.
The annual programme is designed to support children’s education while reducing the financial burden on parents. This year’s distribution included exercise books, mathematical sets, and other essential writing tools.
It will be recalled that the parish recently empowered over 40 youths with digital skills and carried out community service projects, including a street cleanup at Ambali Street, as part of its ongoing outreach efforts.
