The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has announced a ban on the celebration of the traditional “sign-out fiesta” by final year students within the institution’s premises.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Rector, Dr. Abiola O. L., the directive affects all final-year students across the National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.
According to the statement, any student found engaging in such celebrations after the second-semester examinations will face strict disciplinary measures.
The management also disclosed that security arrangements have been put in place to enforce compliance and apprehend violators.
The school authorities urged all final-year students to adhere strictly to the directive to avoid sanctions.
