Armed bandits have abducted a businessman, Suleiman Ndana, popularly known as “Manager,” during a midnight raid on Tsaragi community in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The report gathered that the incident happened around 12 a.m. on Sunday when the gunmen, said to be heavily armed, stormed the community and fired several gunshots into the air to scare residents.
A resident of the area, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the attackers appeared to have carefully mapped out their operation as they headed straight to Ndana’s residence.
“The attack happened around 12 a.m. The gunmen came in large numbers, shooting into the air, and went directly for Manager. Their target was clearly him. They took him away, and since then, there has been no word on his whereabouts,” the source said.
Ndana had recently built a new fuel station in Yana Kokonna, Tsaragi, which residents fear may have drawn the attention of the kidnappers.
This latest attack adds to the rising spate of kidnappings in parts of Kwara North and South, where business owners, farmers, and traditional rulers have increasingly become targets of ransom-seeking criminals.
