A Magistrate Court sitting in Ebute-Metta has ordered that the case file of 55-year-old Shamusideen Oladiti, charged with assault leading to the death of one Iman Ramon, be forwarded to the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
Oladiti was arraigned on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, before the Ebute-Metta Magisterial District on a three-count charge bordering on unlawful homicide, conspiracy and grievous assault.
According to the charge, Oladiti allegedly beat Iman Ramon with fist blows on August 27, 2025, at Lewis Street, Lagos Island, causing injuries that led to his death at Lagos Island General Hospital, Marina.
He was also accused of conspiring with others at large to commit felony on September 17, 2025, and separately assaulting one Omale Samuel on the same date, inflicting grievous harm.
The prosecutor, SP Anthony Iyeye of the Legal/Prosecution Section, Panti, Yaba, informed the court of the charges, but the defendant’s plea was not taken.
Ordering the case file to be duplicated and sent to the DPP for advice within 30 days, the Magistrate adjourned the matter to October 28, 2025, for mention. The Investigating Police Officer (IPO) in the case was identified as ASP Johnson Olumuyiwa of D27 SCID, Yaba.
