Tinubu Returns to Abuja After Working Visit to Lagos, Other States|LAGOS EYE NEWS

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after a ten-day working visit to Lagos, during which he held a series of strategic meetings with investors, commissioned major projects, and attended national events across several states.

According to a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President arrived in Lagos on September 26, shortly after attending the coronation of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in Ibadan.

While in Lagos, Tinubu met with prominent investors, including Global Infrastructure Partners CEO, Bayo Ogunlesi, and Metis Capital Partners Chairman, Keem Belo-Osagie. He also received the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, alongside the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to expanding Nigeria’s maritime potential as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels.

Ahead of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, the President visited Imo State, where he inaugurated several projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma and unveiled the governor’s new book chronicling a decade of the All Progressives Congress in power.

He later delivered his Independence Day broadcast from the State House, Dodan Barracks, before commissioning the newly renovated National Theatre, renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.

Tinubu also travelled to Jos, Plateau State, on October 4 to attend the funeral of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda. At the event, he paid tribute to the late matriarch and reiterated his administration’s commitment to fairness and equity among Nigeria’s diverse religious communities.

Upon his return to Abuja, the President met with the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bashir Ojulari, who briefed him on the company’s investment outlook, operational performance, and progress toward achieving national production targets.
