The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Engineer Kayode Ojo from participating in the party’s governorship primary election slated for October 27.
APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko, announced the decision at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
He confirmed that only the incumbent Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, and Omolayo Oluremi were cleared to contest the party’s ticket.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed July 20, 2026, for the Ekiti State governorship election.
Ojo’s disqualification, coming just weeks before the primary, has triggered intense political speculation and left party stakeholders in suspense over the development.
