Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has announced his decision to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), citing confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and economic vision for Nigeria.
Speaking on Wednesday, Murray-Bruce described President Tinubu as a leader “driven by results, not applause,” emphasizing that the President’s ongoing reforms are laying the foundation for Nigeria’s future prosperity.
“I have known President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu since 1998. I know the man’s mind, his courage, and his conviction,” Murray-Bruce said. “For the first time in our nation’s history, we have a President who truly understands finance, who sees the economy not as a political slogan, but as a living organism that must be disciplined, deregulated, and allowed to breathe.”
The former senator praised the administration’s economic and security measures, noting that recent reforms though challenging are essential to achieving long-term growth.
He highlighted the professionalism now evident at the Central Bank of Nigeria, the improved national security architecture under the National Security Adviser, and the renewed confidence in Nigeria’s monetary system.
“Our foreign policy is again respected. Our fuel supply is deregulated. We will never again live through the humiliation of fuel scarcity,” he stated. “Investments are returning, and the world is watching Nigeria rise again.”
Murray-Bruce also commended Tinubu’s infrastructural agenda, describing it as “unprecedented,” with ongoing projects in roads, ports
